STORY

WNY Snow Removal was started by three brothers in the heart of Western New York’s snow belt, Orchard Park, NY.

Bryn Smith and Connor Kolb had worked for a local snow plowing contractor a combined 14 years, and were ready to strike out on their own. They enlisted their older brother Garrett, an entrepreneur, to help run the business.

Armed with big ambitions to build the area’s best snow removal operation, a small fleet of vehicles and lots of snow removal experience, the brothers set out to make the 2014 – 2015 winter season a memorable start.

Mother nature, obliged, delivering “Snowvember” and a perfect opportunity to deliver superior service levels even in the face of the worse conditions. WNY Snow Removal worked around the clock to clear out its clients, when many others passed-out or tapped-out.

Six months later, the company was honored by the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA) and Snow Business Magazine for their work during the storm.

WNY Snow Removal built on this initial success in 2015-2016 winter season, doubling the number of clients served and expanding its service offerings to include deicing, bulk pre-treated rock salt and snow relocation.

The company continued to expand in 2016-2017, adding a sales office in downtown Buffalo, NY and capped another successful winter season with launch of WNY Fire Pits, a provider of outdoor stone fire pits, in early 2017.

With continued investments in people, professional development and technology, WNY Snow Removal is looking forward to clearing the way for even more of Western New York this up coming winter!

As lifelong community-members of the Buffalo area, we are invested in helping our clients, friends, and family to keep things running smoothly despite the snow our area is known for.

The power of giving is central to our community service. We provide free snow and ice management services to local families affected by childhood cancer through the local non-profit Camp Good Days and Special Times.

Every year, we have the privilege of helping several families in our area – a blessing and a constant reminder that no matter how hard the snow hits we’ve still got it good.
